Either way, this building is visually stunning and is a classic image of what a downtown building should look like. Another mystery involves its use over the years. When renovations took place to transform the building into what it looks like now, a multitude of surprises were discovered. There were sections of brick archway that were closed in and at one time led into other buildings on the block. Further, workers also uncovered evidence of stairways and partitions that were no longer there. According to pictures taken of the structure over time, one can conclude that  a Woolworth’s store once occupied the building. Nevertheless, all of the discoveries made during renovations made people wonder how this building was used over the years.
